Every provider below was read on its own page through our fetch box, and the row says what that page published on the day we read it. 2 of 18 publish a figure; the rest are listed too, because how many will not quote a number is the most useful thing about this market. Nothing here is a quote for your job: it is what other people advertise.
Every row is a verbatim sentence read from the named source's own page through our fetch service on the date shown, hash-pinned to the stored read (the sha of the page's visible text; the raw page is mirrored to R2). 2 of the 18 named sources that could be read published a usable figure; 16 published none and are recorded as not published, never filled in; 0 could not be read (blocked, dead or unreachable) and count nowhere. The headline figures (median, minimum, maximum, quartiles) are over ONE figure per source for each breakdown it prices, in GBP (a source's median where its page yielded several accepted sentences for one breakdown), so a page that gives figures for several breakdowns gives one for each and N counts 6 figures, never sentences; 90 candidate sentence(s) were refused by a reviewer with the reason recorded. The fuller derivation this dataset is chartered to grow into (not yet what the figures above are; they are each source's own published figure as read): the application fee by licensable-staff band, the annual registration fee per licensable individual (£25 from 1 June 2026), the assessing bodies' capped day rates (full day, half day in person, half day remote) and the three-year renewal, combined into a year-one and steady-state cost for a stated headcount

The process
- Tell us what you need and how to reach you. About a minute, no account.
- Joe reads it himself and replies directly. Nobody else receives it.
- You get a short call to talk it through. Go ahead with something, ask more, or do nothing.
This is a free information site, not the SIA. When you send an enquiry, Joe, who runs this site, reads it and replies to you himself; no firm or assessing body receives your details and you pay nothing to ask. It carries no advertising, no sponsored placement and no affiliate links. Every fee is quoted from the SIA's own pages on GOV.UK with a link and the date we read them. Nothing here is legal advice; check the SIA's page before you rely on a figure.
